Theme:   Connecting the energy community for future energy leaders

Beyond Boomers brings together industry leaders and young professionals to connect and foster the growth of the next generation of energy professionals. We bring in keynote speakers and panelists to address current topics pertaining to all areas of energy.

Great for young professionals without a CEEA membership to attend and be in the room with a number of industry leaders.

The event featured keynote speaker Dr. Bjorn Lomborg, one of Time Magazine’s Top 100 most influential speakers on climate and the energy sector, who discussed many of the challenges facing our industry and the world today. A panel featuring Jeff Tonken, Brian Johnson, Dale Swampy and Chief Crystal Smith (Haisla Nation) also took place discussing the importance of energy security and the development and value of the Canadian LNG industry.

Networking Events

CEEA networking events throughout the year provide our members and their partners with various opportunities to connect, celebrate and meet face to face.

Our annual Governors Charity Ball was held in Calgary on March 18 at the Hyatt Regency, and was an outstanding success. Together with our guests, we enjoyed a Mardi Gras celebration and were treated to the sights, sounds and tastes of New Orleans.

Through our silent auction and live Fund-A-Need program, we were able to raise $61,000 for HEROS (Hockey Education Reaching Out Society) and $250,000 for our new CEEA Education Fund. Many thanks to our auction donors and guests whose generous contributions will have a significant impact on youth in Canada.
